Days 2, 3, & 4

The rest of our Memorial Day Weekend was more relaxed...no getting up at 4:30 AM to head out on all day adventures. Saturday afternoon was all about our anniversary gifts to each other. In the morning we headed of to get my ring sized since it did not fit and then we came home to play with Tim's gifts. I have set Tim up for the few weeks I will be gone this summer in Costa Rica (more on that at a later date). We are currently the proud owners of a bocce ball set, horshoes, badminton & volleyball. And just for good measure we had to play a few rounds of one-on-one wiffle ball.
I rock at Bocce...look at how my ball is just kissing the Pallino!
Saturday night was again spent with my co-workers. We had a BBQ/Bonfire at a friends house. He had set his cable box up outside and connected it to a projector that he had shining on the house...such a wonderful idea, however we are not the best when it comes to setting up electronics :-P so I doubt we would ever venture into this.

Sunday found us playing outside again...really it was just too nice to stay inside this weekend. We grilled some veggie burgers for me and real burgers for Tim for a hearty lunch with a side of vine ripened tomatoes...yum!
Then it was off to the local antique show/flea market that is held a few times a year. We don't go for the shopping...we go for the Kettle Corn and fresh lemonade.
Sunday night found us in CT for dinner with one of Tim's college buddies and his fiance. Which brings us to Monday. Monday was the ultimate in lazy days. We slept in...hung around outside...and did a lot of nothing.

We also got a chance to see the baby birds that are nesting under our carport. Tim had noticed the past couple weeks that every time he went out the backdoor the Oriole we had seen around the house flew out from under the carport. Upon further investigation we discovered her nest:

Not knowing if anything was in the nest we let it be just in case. Well on Monday we were sitting on the deck steps and saw the bird fly in and start feeding the babies. Of course I didn't have my camera on me but it was totally a National Geographic moment. We were lucky that later on in the day we caught a shot of our bird freind on her nest...in the last one you can see the tops of the babies heads.

and even later in the day I happened to catch a shot of the baby birds. Pardon the blur of the picture but I was zooming in because I did not want to get too close and spook momma bird.

we also found this little guy chillin' in the grass during a wiffle ball game...I was worried that we were going to squish him...or one of his friends that were nearby.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end...back to work for us. Although I can't complain because the number of days left this year are slowly dwindling down to zero :-)
I can't wait for the summer!!
