We're Full!

I recalled that I never finished posting about the New Orleans trip and thus I will try and tie some of the ends up now. I have to say that some of the best, if not the best food I have ever had was on this trip. To recap some of the good times read below.

To Start:
Muffalettas from Central Grocery

"Pronounced Muff-a-lotta by natives, this mighty sandwich is actually the size of four normal-size sandwiches; accordingly, it is served quartered."
- Michael Stern

Close up of the Samich....the picture can not do the size, nor the taste justice! YUM!

K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen - Owned by Chef Paul Prudhomme

Us with Chef Prudhomme -

Fried Green Tomatoes and Shrimp
Filet in Debris Sauce

Cafe Dumond -

BEIGNETS!
"Beignets were also brought to Louisiana by the Acadians. These were fried fritters, sometimes filled with fruit. Today, the beignet is a square piece of dough, fried and covered with powdered sugar. They are served in orders of three."

Beignets are basically fried dough - so they are delish!

Acme Oyster House -
Oysters and Po-Boys abound can be found at this Oyster House!

Emeril Lagasse’s NOLA -

Beth's Chicken
Sue's Filet
Nora's Shrimp
