Small Towns, Small Wineries...

We started our day early and headed to the cute town of Penn Yan, NY. The town was picture perfect and we had an excellent cup of coffee on what else but Main Street. After wandering around for a bit we decided to continue our day with a wine tasting....

...but not before we got to see the skillet used to make the WORLDS LARGEST PANCAKE!

Yes that is Tim standing in front of it so you have a scale to guage it by :-P

After a short ride in the car we ended up at the highly recommended Bully Hill Vinyards, http://www.bullyhill.com/ . The vinyard was high up in a hill overlooking Keuka Lake. The wine and the restaurant were delicous.

Tim's lunch of Turkey and Tom. Basil Soup
After lunch we went to the tasting room where we tried many wines with the wonderful guide, Bob. He had a wonderful sense of humor and taught us many new things. We of course headed home with many bottles of Bully Hills tasty wines.

After leaving Bully Hill we continued our ride down Keuka Lake and ended up at the bottom of the lake in the small town of Hammondsport, NY. I didn't take any pictures in town as we were too busy sitting on a bench enjoying the view!
The sun was in our eyes!
~but Tim is getting really good at the long arm shot!
Never too busy, or too full for some ice cream....this was one scoop!
Stay tuned for day 3...
