I am testing to see how you can put pictures into your posts. Hopefully this works. For my test I decided to post a picture of the turtle that hangs out in our yard. We have not given her a name but I do know she is a painted turtle.
We found her about a month ago when Tim almost ran her over with the lawnmower >:-o
Anyways...we noticed she was digging a hole...upon calling our friend Damon to inquire what kind of turtle it was and what we should do we noticed that she was laying eggs!
No babies have been seen to date, I should look up the gestation period of a painted turtle. This will be the first of many postings of the wildlife seen here in Holmes.
