Holmes Sweet Home: christmas in the city...

We had a very busy but fun weekend! On Friday night friends from Salisbury came up for to visit...it was so nice to see Kelly and Stu since we hadn't seen them since their wedding in September. It was nice to catch up and hear all about their honeymoon and what they have been doing. We also got a chance to hang out with them in the city Saturday night after they went to see a show...although it was VERY cold outside. Before meeting back up with Stu and Kelly in midtown, N&M, S&B and Tim and I went out for a touristy Christmas night in NYC. We started off hitting the Christmas boutiques in Grand Central and Union Square park.

After leaving the markets we went for a delish dinner at Dallas BBQ on the lower east. We tried for a pit stop at McSorley's just because we know how much Nora likes beer...

...but it was a bit too crowded. So instead we kept with our touristy night and headed up to St.Patricks and Rock. Center. The Cartier store is usually wrapped in a giant red bow, but this year it was covered with scaffolding...however instead of giving up they decorated the scaffolding with greenery and more lights than I have ever seen:
