Twenty-Six

Yesterday I turned 26.

Turning 26 is not exciting...at least last year with turning 25 I could rent a car without having to pay a huge premium anymore. I still have not rented a car...but I could now. Turning 26...nothing exciting happens.

Fun Birthdays:
10 - double digits baby
13 - welcome to teenage angst
16 - permit and drivers licenses await you
18 - official adult, can but cigarettes and porn (neither of which I have done yet, but one day...)
21 - you no longer have to be worried about using your fake ID to get into the bar and buy alcohol.
25 - you feel like you really are an adult, and that renting a car thing

26....whats cool about 26?

Anyways I did have a great day. So I have nothing to complain about!

Birthday Flowers from Timbo!

And being the lucky gal that I am I had the day off due to the Jewish New Year. Nora and I were given tickets to the craft show at Lyndhurst so we decided to go on Fri. since most people would be at work.

We got a few little things, had lunch and bought some Cool Beans Dip. This dip is delish! I know Tim is excited to try the hot&spicy.

We met Ferris and Maureen and I fell in love with the beautiful furniture that is handcrafted by them. I am thinking of getting a table similar to this one made for our dining room...but a lot bigger of course!

View of the Tappan Zee Bridge

This looks like a good sitting tree...don't you just want to climb it and read a good book?
Maybe I am just weird.

The rose gardens...not in bloom obviously :-P

Entrance to the old green-house.

Just a Cool Tree

The day was capped off by a great meal at Hudson's Ribs and Fish with the family...and presents of course :-P My Mom even surprised me with the strawberry shortcake that my Grandma and Grandpa used to make for me every year for my birthday...I didn't have my camera so I didn't get a picture of it...oh well we will just have to make another...YUM!

Thanks for a great day everyone! :-)
